Ancestral Brigade

The Little Creek Ancestral Brigade gathers to participate in the Sesquicentennial parade at North English.

Some of the early pioneer family names of those attending Mass at Saint Patrick's at Little Creek included: Corridan, O'Rourke, Barrett, Fahey, Hanley, McGurk, McKenna, Bigley, McMahon, Fischer, Kelly, Dunn, Gray, Stapleton, Reilley, LaVelle, Hudson, Walsh, McCann, Florang, Monaghan and Feldavert.

Today, many of the descendants of these original families, living throughout the United States, have organized the Ancestral Little Creek Brigade.   In June 2004, about a hundred members of the Little Creek Ancestral Brigade met at North English to participate in the town's Sesquicentennial Celebration parade.  The group was formed to share and preserve the strong Irish ancestral history from the Little Creek/Liberty parish near Hinkletown.  Saint Patrick's Catholic Church at Little Creek served the area for 90 years and is fondly remembered by many.
